Marin Biologic Laboratories is a contract research organization (CRO) that provides custom research and development as well as GLP and GMP compliant assay development, validation and testing services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostic and agricultural industries. Because of our cell culture and tissue culture experience, we excel in cell-based assays and bioassays and can utilize this experience for testing your drug of interest. Our skill at assay development, including ELISA assay and cell-based immunoassay development combines cell biology with immunology fields. We can take your molecule and develop rare monoclonal antibodies for subsequent assay development. We can optimize protein production and produce antibodies up to one gram per week. With our experience in cell culture we can perform a variety of assays involved with drug action such as apoptosis, cell growth and cytotoxicity assays. If you have a project requiring gene expression or construction of a cDNA library, we can offer laboratory services in this area and measure protein expression via reporter assays. Our ability with cell culture, molecular cloning and protein purification enables our scientific staff to perform therapy development including assay development with embryonic stem cells. Since our contract laboratory is GLP and GMP compliant, your assay development and validation can be used for FDA submissions whether it be a potency assay, stability assay or a drug release assay.
